FAQ
What is an entrance fee?
It’s an upfront sum to help cover community operating expenses and help us offer access to continuing care for life at predictable rates. It also ensures priority access to higher levels of health care in case you ever need it. Your entrance fee is based on the size of residence you choose and the number of occupants.
What’s included in the monthly fee?
Luxury senior living costs vary based on the size of your residence and the number of occupants. This comprehensive fee covers a variety of services and amenities, including your meal plan, maintenance, housekeeping, utilities, scheduled transportation, concierge services, fitness center, activities and events, and much more.
What is your pet policy?
Pets are permitted in all independent living residences at Lake Forest Place.
What is a Continuing Care Retirement Community or a Life Plan Community?
Continuing Care or Life Plan refers to the fact that in addition to independent living, all levels of care are available to residents on the same campus. This would include assisted living, nursing care, and specialized memory care. In addition, all levels of care can be accessed directly by those living outside the retirement community.
What if I am independent, but my spouse needs to be in assisted living or nursing care? Can we still move in? Where would we live?
Many couples living at Presbyterian Homes do not share the same good health. On an individual basis, we can create a program that may include one spouse in assisted living or nursing care and the other in a nearby independent apartment.
Must you be part of independent living before you can take advantage of other supportive senior living options?
No. In fact, last year, more than 700 “non-residents” recuperated from surgery or benefitted from Rebab in our Health Care Center. Our rehabilitative services include physical and occupational therapy and speech/language pathology.
Are meals included?
Our Lake Forest senior living community offers flexible dining options. Three meals are available each day. However most residents will still cook many of their meals in their beautiful kitchens. Each resident is provided a monthly Discretionary dollar allowance to spend as they choose, for dining, salon services, or in our on-site stores.
