Jim Brault
Elected Director: April 2022Jim Brault is the Chief Executive Officer and President of the Brauvin Organization based in Chicago which invests in retail and retail-related net lease properties throughout the United States. He has been involved in several civic and not-for-profit organizations and has served as Commissioner of the Wilmette Park Board, in Wilmette from 2005 – 2015 and is a Board Member of the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Independent Review Board and Board Member and Treasurer of Madonna Mission, a not-for-profit organization, providing education and resettlement support programs for refugee families in Chicago.
Bob Dearborn
Elected Director: April 2023Bob Dearborn is the Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at Bartlett Wealth Management’s Chicago location. He received his BA in history from Kenyon College and his MBA in finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) as well as a Chartered Investment Counselor (CIC). Bob currently serves as a Trustee of the Village of Winnetka and has been involved in numerous civic and charitable organizations, including serving as past Chair of the Ethics Committee of the Chicago Analysts Society and past President of the Rotary Club of Chicago – New Chicago.
Charlie Denison
Elected Director: April 2014Charlie Denison is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he advises clients primarily in the industrials sector utilizing over 35 years of investment banking experience advising clients on M&A, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations and debt and equity financing across the packaging, paper, and building products industries. Prior to joining Moelis & Company, he ran the Chicago office of Deutsche Bank and predecessor Bankers Trust since 1994 and was responsible for overseeing the firm’s investment banking activities in the Midwest as well as coordinating the strategies of the private wealth and asset management businesses.
Elinor Hite
Secretary, Elected Director: August 2017Elinor Hite has had a 40-year career as a human resources administrator, leader and consultant. In vice presidential positions, she designed and implemented HR strategies for several corporations and organizations, including the Fortune 500 BP/Amoco Corporation, the Jenner & Block national law firm based in Chicago, the Chicago YMCA, and the Adler School of Professional Psychology. She continues to serve as an HR consultant to many non-profit, public and private organizations. She is an active volunteer and board member for many organizations and foundations, including 8 years on the National Presbyterian Foundation Board of Trustees, and 9 years on the McCormick Theological Seminary Board of Trustees and President’s Review Committee.
Vince Kelly
Co-Chair, Elected Director: April 2017Vince Kelly is a client relationship manager in the institutional investment group of J.P. Morgan Asset Management. He specializes in developing investment strategies for insurance companies. Vince is a 40-year veteran of the firm having joined The First National Bank of Chicago in 1982. He served as a corporate banker specializing in not-for-profit institutions, particularly health care providers, from 1985 until 2004. He was head of Health Care Banking at First Chicago and, subsequently, at Bank One. Vince has a BA from Boston College and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Vince has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Catholic Charities.
Rev. Michael Kirby
Elected Director: April 2016Reverand Michael Kirby is Senior Pastor and Head of Staff at Northminster Presbyterian Church in northwest Evanston and has been a member of Chicago Presbytery since 2003. He currently serves on the Synod Permanent Judicial Commission, an internal appellate court of the Presbyterian Church. Reverand Kirby serves as co-program chair of the InterFaith Action Clergy and Religious Leaders group and co-leads a new community organizing body called Evanston4All launched in 2016 by the IACRL.
Mike Lincoln
Treasurer, Elected Director: April 2021Mike Lincoln is a Principal and founding member at GreenRock Healthcare Capital LLC. The San Francisco based company delivers alternative capital through property assessed financing (commonly known as PACE) to healthcare real estate owners, operators and developers. He was an executive in the Healthcare Group of MB Healthcare Real Estate, served as Executive Vice President at Lillibridge, was a founding member and Managing Director at General Electric’s Healthcare Financial Services Strategic Relationship Group along with 10 years as a corporate banking executive at Bank of America. He holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Colorado College.
Dennis Marx
Elected Director: August 2014Dennis Marx is the Director of Strategic Development for Symphony Financial, Northwestern Mutual Private Client Group. He has extensive personal financial planning and investment management experience counseling high net worth families. Dennis is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and an Emeritus Trustee of the University of Dayton. A graduate of the Harvard Business School Program for Management Development; Loyola University of Chicago, MBA – Finance; and the University of Dayton, BS- Accounting, he is a CPA and an AICPA Personal Financial Specialist.
Thomas McAfee
Elected Director: April 2019Thomas McAfee is the President of Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH), he oversees Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital and remains a Senior VP for Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. Prior to joining NM-LFH, he spent ten years in leadership positions at the Cleveland Clinic; serving as a senior executive for operations of the 431-bed Hillcrest Hospital and VP of Cleveland Clinic’s East Region Oncology Service. Tom is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a former board member of the Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare Council and the past Chairman of the American Cancer Society Regional Leadership Board of Lake County. He earned his Master of Hospital and Health Administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Science degree from Wright State University.
Eric Mollman
Co-Chair, Elected Director: April 2022Eric Mollman is the CFO of Pentec Health, a complex care provider focused on specialty infusion therapies, including clinical nutrition and pain management. He began his career in banking and investment banking and has spent the last 15+ years serving as the Chief Financial Officer of several for-profit health care services and technology companies, always driven to improve the lives of individuals through better approaches to healthcare. Eric joined the board of Presbyterian Homes in 2022 and became co-chairman in 2023.
Paula Noble
Elected Director: April 2015Prior to her retirement in May 2014, Paula Noble served for 15 years as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. As CFO, she directed all the financial activities of the hospital and its eight operating affiliates and oversaw the financial planning and financing of an $838 million state-of-the-art replacement hospital. Prior to joining the hospital, Paula was a corporate finance executive at the First National Bank of Chicago. During her 20-year tenure at First Chicago, she originated, structured, and syndicated financing for venture investment firms, multi-national corporations, and institutional investors.
Marsha Oberrieder
Elected Director: August 2024Marsha Oberrieder retired in April 2024 as President of Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital (NMLFH). Marsha has been a member of the management team at NMLFH since 1980, serving in other past positions including Vice President, Human Resources and Professional Services, Controller and Budget Manager. She has been involved in her community having served on the High School District 128 School Board for Libertyville and Vernon Hills High Schools and the Governing Board of the Special Education District of Lake County. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from DePaul University and completed Cornell University’s Core Human Resources Executive Development Program.
Sam Reynolds
Elected Director: April 2024Sam Reynolds has 20+ years of experience in the healthcare industry spanning across corporate, provider, plan, academic, and government sectors. Sam has held national roles and board positions for organizations such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the American Medical Association (AMA), the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), University of Illinois – Chicago (UIC), and others. He has graduate degrees from Miami University (education) and Cornell University (business).
Julie Seymour
Elected Director: April 2021Julie Seymour is a partner in the law firm of Nixon Peabody LLP and for over 30 years, she has focused her practice on healthcare and non-profit finance matters, regularly representing and advising hospitals, health systems, educational and cultural institutions, and long-term care providers in all aspects of their tax-exempt and taxable financings. Julie currently serves on Nixon Peabody’s Management Committee and Partner Compensation Committee.
Jessica Strausbaugh
Elected Director: April 2023Jessica Strausbaugh is Chief Financial Officer of The Chicago Community Trust, a community foundation aimed at improving the Chicago region. Jessica joined the Trust from the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, where her role as Treasurer included oversight over Lurie Children’s endowment and pension investment portfolios, enterprise risk management, tax compliance, and debt issuance. Her previous roles included First Vice President at LaSalle Bank (now Bank of America); three years in London consulting to European banks as manager in KPMG’s financial risk advisory group; and new product development at Standard & Poor’s in New York and Paris. Jessica currently serves on the board of the Springboard Foundation Fund and Finance Committee of Francis Xavier Warde School. She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BSBA from Washington University.
Mark Wetzel
Treasurer, Elected Director: April 2021Mark Wetzel is a retired CFO with finance, audit and accounting experience, having spent most of his career in the publicly traded (REIT) real estate sector. He received a Bachelor of Science from Gannon University, an M.B.A. from Xavier University and is a C.P.A. (non-practicing).
