The Geneva Foundation of Presbyterian Homes is set to celebrate three remarkable individuals for their exceptional contributions to philanthropy and volunteerism. On Monday, September 16, the Foundation will award its highest honors to Doug Petrie and John and Virginia “Ginny” Andersen, recognizing their lifelong dedication and impact.

Visionary Award: Honoring Doug Petrie

Doug’s legacy continues to influence the Foundation, embodying the spirit of visionary leadership that the Geneva Foundation seeks to honor.

Humanitarian Award: Celebrating John and Ginny Andersen

Their commitment to Presbyterian Homes began even before they became residents of Lake Forest Place. The Andersens’ generosity is prominently displayed through the grandson and grandfather sculpture at the entrance of the community, a tribute to John’s childhood and his grandfather. Their philanthropy has significantly enhanced various programs and services at Presbyterian Homes, particularly at Lake Forest Place. John and Ginny’s contributions have had a profound impact on the charitable mission of the organization, reflecting their dedication to improving the community and enriching the lives of those they support.
